Managed data recovery services
Recover from a local device
If you keep your data on a local storage device, such as a computer or server, our technicians can recover lost data by setting up a virtual machine in the storage device. This is usually the most efficient data recovery option, as it is quick and allows you to continue accessing your applications and data while we investigate the problem. This method is ideal if you have a server failure, application corruption, or security threat.
Recover from the cloud
Recovery from the cloud involves accessing data that is backed up to a cloud storage facility. If your local data is compromised but your hardware is OK, you can recover your data from the cloud backup. A drawback to this method is that you need to backup regularly to ensure your data is always up-to-date. Also, as you use an internet connection, recovery can be slow, depending on how much data you need to retrieve.
Recover from right in the cloud
This method is effective if your local storage device is damaged, for instance, from a cyber security attack. The process is similar to recovery from a local storage device, except here we create a virtual machine in the cloud. This means you can continue to run applications and access data while we investigate the problem and attempt to repair your local device. This method can be super-quick and has a low impact on your business.
